Whisper offers you and your supporters a cause where even small donations can be life-changing ✨. We're a very high-impact charity that funds Whisper's Magical Children's Hospital 🏥, a maternity unit 🤰🏾, an ambulance 🚑 and a nursing school 🎓 in Jinja, Uganda. We run on an annual donation budget of around £250,000. Every £20.28 donated allows us to treat a child, an average that includes some lengthy inpatient stays 🤒. We estimate that every £318 donated saves a life that would not otherwise have been saved 🧸. Outside Uganda we're entirely staffed by volunteers 💖, helping donations go further.

The Big Half is a 13.1 mile (21.1 km) half marathon 🏃 through the streets of London, starting near Tower Bridge and finishing in Greenwich, covering part of the London Marathon course. It's organised by London Marathon Events, the same team behind the London Marathon, and you can find out more about it on the official website.

What we can offer you

no registration fee. This is unusual.

an individual running vest with a wide range of colours to choose from 👕.
advice and practical help with fundraising.
the cost of the places and related expenses is covered by specific donations from a particular donor as a THANK YOU 🙏 to our runners. Your supporters are not paying them. This is unusual.

For the running vest you will need to raise at least £60 to qualify.

I cannot tell you how inspiring this charity is. They do incredible work. I am raising money for Whisper but the support I am getting from them is fantastic. I have never had this before when raising money for charity. a previous runner in the London Marathon
