Charity places in the TCS London Marathon 2026
Thank you for your interest in running with Whisper's Magical Children's Hospital in the TCS London Marathon 🏆 on Sunday 26 April 2026!
We've filled all our places for 2026. There may still (January 2026) be some charities with marathon places (try here or here). Alternatively, London Marathon MyWay is still open and it lets you choose your own marathon course for £30 with no fundraising requirement. There's even a substantial Facebook group that runs the London Marathon MyWay unofficially on the actual London Marathon course in reverse, starting from midnight 🕛 on the same day as the London Marathon; you will get a medal 🏅 from that group as well as a medal 🏅 from the London Marathon organisers. London Marathon MyWay does count towards the London Classics medal if that's of interest.

Whisper is a very high-impact charity that funds a children's hospital 🏥, a maternity unit 🤰🏾, an ambulance 🚑 and a nursing school 🎓 in Jinja, Uganda. We run on an annual donation budget of around £250,000. Every £15 donated allows us to treat a child, an average that includes some lengthy inpatient stays 🤒. We estimate that every £364 donated saves a life that would not otherwise have been saved 🧸. Outside Uganda we're entirely staffed by volunteers 💖, helping donations go further.

In return for a place we'd like you to donate or commit to raising at least £2200 for us, with at least £600 raised by Christmas and at least £1200 raised by 1 February 2026. We offer optional matched giving 💕 that can help you reach the target, or it can help you raise more 💸; perhaps your employer offers matched giving too. If the target is too high for you, we also have places in the Brighton Marathon with a £500 target; Brighton is sometimes called London-on-Sea so we think it's a good alternative.

For the running vest and the training app subscription, you will need to raise at least £60 to qualify.
I cannot tell you how inspiring this charity is. They do incredible work. I am raising money for Whisper but the support I am getting from them is fantastic. I have never had this before when raising money for charity. a previous runner in the London Marathon
