# Whisper

> Whisper is a UK-registered charity (England & Wales no. 1139078) that runs Whisper Hospital — a children's hospital and maternity unit in Jinja, Uganda, with a second branch in Kampala. It provides high-quality, affordable primary and secondary healthcare, with particular strengths in paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, funded through a mix of local health insurers, patient fees and charitable donations. Whisper's Czech sister charity, Nadační fond Whisper (IČO 08145393), supports this work in the Czech Republic.

The site is organised into regional microsites. `/ug` is the Uganda hospital site (for patients, families and insurers); `/en` (rest of world), `/gb` (United Kingdom) and the localized `/de` and `/cz` sites cover the charity, its impact, and how supporters can help. Visitors to `/` are geo-redirected to the region that fits them.
